Amidst record scorching heat in the 90s and the red, white, and blue festooned houses of Beach Drive, the race was run by a game group. At the left below we see the start of the race. Sixteen minutes later, the winner was near the finish line as shown at center below. At the right is the second place finisher.

Joe Link, who kayaked down the Bay to the race finished third as shown in the left picture below. Mark Chamberlain, co-owner of North Beach Health and Fitness Club of North Cape May is shown finishing his first race at the center below. Bill is shown laboring to the finish at the right below.

At the left below we see Angel Point, first place winner in the Decorations Contest, and the trophy table for the race. In the center picture below we see Mark and Val Sheets, another first-time racer and member of North Beach, with their age-group trophies. Katie Leitch, another first-time racer, traveled from Virginia to run in the race and collect her age-group trophy. She is shown at the right below. The event was well-done and we all look forward to running next year. Later in the evening, DRBA treated the community to fireworks over the Bay.
