This event is held in memory of the eight Philadelphia Firefighters who perished in the August 17, 1975 Gulf Oil Refinery blaze and all Firefighters who gave their lives bravely in the line of duty. The race is hosted by Local #22 I.A.F.F. and Sea Isle City; and is directed by The Runaway Athletic Club.

DISTANCE:  5k (3.1 miles), There will also be a 1 mile fun run for children starting immediately after the start of the 5k. 

RACE TIME: 11:00 AM, Number pick-up and race day registration begins at 9:30 AM at the Community Center, 127 John F. Kennedy, Boulevard, Sea Isle City, New Jersey

FEE: $12.00 for pre-registration received by 9/20/03 (includes shirt) 
          $16.00 for race day registration (includes shirt, while they last. $10.00 without shirt) 
         No fee and/or shirt for kids run

AWARDS: Trophies and Sweatshirts to 1st Male and Female Overall and Masters finishers. Trophies to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the following open divisions:

Awards will not be shipped or stored.

CEREMONY: A free buffet lunch will be served at the awards ceremony to be held from noon until 4:00 PM at The Ocean Drive Tavern, 40th and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City
