Kayaking
Kayaking has become very popular along the Bay. There are dozens of kayakers who regularly ply these waters in the summer season. There are but a few who kayak year-round. The best way to learn to kayak is to take a tour. There isn't any way to adequately describe the way it feels to be in a kayak, sitting so low in the water; you really have to try it. Among the most interesting wildlife seen up close and personal have been: bald eagle, dolphins, harbor porpoises, harbor seals, humpback whale, pilot whale, and a snowy owl. For a very interesting kayaking journal, see Joe Link's kayaking history.
