Reed's Beach
is a surprisingly large community perched at the edge of the Bay just south
of Bidwell's Creek. It has the feel of
a miniature barrier island on the Bay. The picture at the left below is
an aerial photo showing Reed's Beach. At the left side of the picture,
you can see Bidwell's Creek. The houses at Reed's Beach are hard to see
because they are right on the strip of sand. In fact, the houses closest
to the Bay are often over water as we can see from the center picture taken
at low tide. The picture on the right which was also taken at low tide
shows how Reed's Beach is truly on the edge.
